We provide counselling for both mental health and job-related issues on an individual or group basis. Mental health issues are typically managed by a psychologist and can involve assessment, treatments and consultations. Stress or job-related issues are usually handled by a counsellor and can be done on either individually or as a work group. We also offer crisis management and change management sessions.
Besides conventional therapy, we also offer movies, theatre, drama, art and music therapies. These therapies use different media to highlight mental health issues and provide stimuli for discussion with our counsellors. These therapy sessions can also be helpful for companies to address interpersonal issues affecting staff, such as departmental conflict.
Intervention programmes typically run three to six months and target lifestyle changes for better weight and/or chronic disease management. The current approach to disease is long-term medication but for many common chronic illnesses, a lifestyle-change approach is more effective with fewer side effects. Our programmes holistically address obesity, high blood pressure, high cholesterol, high triglycerides, and/or diabetes.
Participants will receive a health assessment, followed by an evaluation from a doctor. Based on these evaluations, a meal plan and exercise programme will be drawn up in consultation with a nutritionist and an exercise therapist. A counsellor will also see the participants on stress management issues and change motivations. These programmes can be adapted for a corporate setting to be conducted within a company for staff.
